To support our increasing activity all around the world, and especially in Europe and Americas, we are looking for a Logistics Manager, who will mainly in charge of logistics performance and follow-up (transport and warehouse).
This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Director for Europe and Americas.
Frequent international business trips are expected for this position.
Position based in Fontenay-aux-Roses, near Paris, France.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance:
- Establish KPIs to measure internal (warehouse) and external (transport, 3PL) performance (OTD, quality, resources)
- Build action plan to reach the target defined by the Supply Chain Director and the Company
- Propose an engineering of new routes (entry, warehouse, redelivery, direct flows…), and improving existing ones
- Analyze logistics costs with cost control
- Integrate in a performance plan all new acquisitions and their related best practices
Logistics follow-up:
- Deploy action plans related to the performance one
- Manage the performance of Warehouses and Forwarders, as well as their quality
- Measure the results and define corrective action if needed
- Coach supply chain teams in relation with Sales (mainly) to be actors of the performance
- Train new staff in logistics and customer services
- Audit logistics processes and manage the related PDCA
- Support new acquisitions in the Group, deploying all logistics processes
- Define and manage specific action plans to specific contexts
- Work on information systems enhancement / specifications relatively to performance
- Manage new forwarders / 3PL RFQ, pricing benchmark
REQUIREMENTS
- Engineer degree
- Strong experience in Logistics or Transport and/or Warehousing: 8-10 years
- Experience in transversal or direct management
- Analytical skills
- Good abilities in data management
- Ease in result presentation
- Knowledge of MS-Office, especially in XLS or Access
- Knowledge of SAP / BI is appreciated
- International experience will be a plus
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and French
